A few weeks after we found out I was pregnant we had buyers for the boat and the sale of it was in motion.
Everything had worked out perfectly, just how we had always planned it in our own little dream world to go down.
We always said that for us to leave and go home and feel like we had no regrets a few things would have to happen.
1 - I would have to go home already pregnant. CHECK
2 - The boat would have to SELL and we did not have to walk away from our awesome jobs. CHECK
3 - And that we would have to go home in summer to start our new lives. CHECK
The boat sold at 11.00PM on the 15th December and we had handed the boat over to the new crew and tendered into shore by 11.30PM.
We went to our hotel and checked into our room. We opened the curtains and straight out directly in front of us was our boat floating out there.
We layed there and reminisced about the extraordinary life we had lived over the last 10 years in our wonderful world of yachting and thought about just how thankful we were we had got to live it.
Our wonderful life of travel was not coming to an end by no means but it was going to be put on hold just for a little while we settled into the new tiny life joining us.
It was time to go to sleep though as we had a 9am flight out of France back to our home country to start our new life. And yes to SUMMER. Bliss.
