Well I have been slack with this blog to say the least but I have a good excuse, My Mum was here to visit for 3wks!!! WooHoo.... So we took off travelling showing her as much as we could possibly fit in!
It was by far the best Mother/Daughter trip anyone could dream of and I could not think of one more single thing or place we could of fit in to make it any more perfect than it was. Trip and opportunity of a lifetime!
For the first 4 days we were lucky enough to have Mums husband Richard ('The Honch' as we call him) with us also for the visit.The afternoon they arrived they came onboard and experienced for the first time how we have been living for the past 8yrs. Straight after the tour of the boat it was drinks on the sundeck overlooking beautiful Imperia.
The following morning we went and explored all through Imperia walking to the top to admire as far as the eye can see.
In the afternoon we jumped in the car and drove up through the mountains to what I call 'Real Italian Living'! The tiny villages scattered through the mountains are so quiet and there's barely a person in sight, it is almost eerie infact. Gives you goosebumps but just so beautiful. We drove and we drove further and further up until we were in the clouds and couldn't see 2mtrs in front of us.
We ended our perfect day with a perfect night by taking Mum and Honch to our favourite restaurant in Orneglia,Imperia which we simply call 'The Music Restaurant' We usually go there to eat great food and listen to beautiful Italian/Spanish style music, but that night out of nowhere we got AC/DC covers and other oldschool rock! A slightly different less authentic atmosphere then what we were going for but they were so great we had a ball!
